Suiseki  is the Japanese art of appreciation of nature through stones that suggest mountains, lakes, waterfalls and other natural scenes, or that are aesthetically pleasing in shape and texture.

Suiseki  (Sui = water, Seki = stone) is the study and enjoyment of naturally formed stones as objects of beauty. The art of Suiseki involves the collection, preparation and appreciation of unaltered naturally formed stones.

Our current collection may be more accurately classified as Biseki (Beautiful Stone or Polished Stone). These stones have been polished to enhance the beauty of their colors, shapes and surface patterns.
